Want to join the dark side by building and flying the Star Wars™ TIE Fighter™ spaceship from the licensed Star Wars collection by Ugears? The twin ion engine, or TIE Fighter, with its spherical cockpit and hexagonal wings, is the iconic starfighter of the Galactic Empire. Agile but vulnerable, the TIE Fighter is a formidable and feared enemy, whether in aerial combat or providing close air support against rebel forces on the ground.
This battery-powered model is made of colored plywood and includes the starfighter and a base designed to resemble the surface of the Death Star. The ship attaches to the base with magnets, making it easy to connect and detach. A small battery-powered motor is hidden inside the base to allow your fighter to perform realistic flight maneuvers. Two laser turrets can also move sideways to cover approaching X-Wings with fire. The top hatch of the TIE Fighter cockpit opens to reveal the interior details. The wings include cardboard elements. The model is powered by three AA batteries (not included) or via USB Type-C (external batteries and Type-C cable not included).
The stand for the TIE Fighter model is compatible with the stand for the Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing from the official Star Wars Ugears collection. Together, they create a larger surface representing the Death Star, immersing you in the action of the climactic scene from the original Star Wars movie.
